NPR interview Recap

May 27, 2007, 2:54 pm

The interview went very well. Joseph Cooper was pleasant and engaging, and his staff was very gracious. The other guest on the show, Benjamin Orbach, author of Live from Jordan: Letters Home from My Journey Through the Middle East, was a pleasure to interact with.

As we were arranging the interview, a month or so ago, Benjamin and I had concerns about one another. He was concerned I would draw him into a debate about U.S. policy in the Middle East while I was concerned about being drawn into a debate about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Ben and I took a few moments to get to know each other before the interview; we hit it off right away. Ben’s concern for the people of the Middle East was evident and during the interview we often found ourselves echoing one another’s points.

Benjamin and I have made tenative plans to have dinner in Jerusalem (as long as our schedules allow us to do so). I’ve invited Ben to help us deliver gifts in Bethlehem. Perhaps he will be able to join us.

Added a gallery

May 22, 2007, 1:47 pm

We now have a gallery and a logo! A lot of work has been going into the site. We hope you enjoy the pictures. We look forward to adding more this year as we deliver gifts to children.

Next up is clean up work on some of the CSS, and we’ll be ready to launch. We’ve been submitted to google but aren’t indexed yet.

Patience is a virtue. We feel like time is always at our heels. We’re confident God will do what needs to be done for this project. Keep checking in on, us and see the plan unfold.

The site is starting to come together

May 10, 2007, 1:44 pm

After a quite a bit of work, our website is starting to come together.  We're still working out the kinks, but all-in-all, it's starting to look good.

As of today, we still don't have a logo.  But that's coming soon.  Hopefully in the next couple of days we should be in ship-shape.

The best is yet to come!
