Well, it’s mid-day on Wednesday and, as promised, here is the link to the Christianity Today article about BCP.

Introducing live.bcProject.info & prayer requests

December 4, 2008, 10:55 pm

Well, it’s hard to believe, but BCP leaves early Friday morning! Before we go we have a quick update for you, our friends.

First, we want to introduce you to our live feed: live.bcProject.info. How does it work? It’s simple: in addition to our nightly blog we will be sending short updates throughout each day as we deliver gifts, meet with Israelis and Palestinians, and visit the biblical sites.

The live feed updates itself every two minutes, so once you visit the page, you can leave it open and you will get our as they happen; it’s a good way to follow the project along as if you were there.

live.bcProject.info will have our 20 most recent updates and our twitter page will have an archive of all our updates to-date (in case you want to go back and see what you missed.)

Second, we have prayer requests from our team. They are below. Please remember us, and please know you will be in our thoughts and that you have our thanks.

1. Pray for Jerusalem as the Spirit of God leads through David in Psalm 122. Shalom.
2. Pray for unity of the team and for good physical, spiritual, emotional health. Salaam.
3. Pray for safety in our travels – going and coming. Shalom.
4. Pray for effectiveness in our ministry, as God leads and directs. Salaam.
5. Pray for true reconciliation, in every sense of the word. Shalom.
6. Pray for the Bethlehem Bible College and the church with we wil be serving. Salaam.
7. Pray that we will possess God’s love for all the Palestinians and Israelis. Shalom.
8. Pray for divine appointments while in Israel. Salaam.
9. Pray that all the nations will praise Him. Shalom.
10. Pray God will be glorified! Salaam.

Steve Brown Podcast Up

January 22, 2008, 12:47 am

Hopefully you got a chance to listen to ‘Steve Brown Etc’ and hear us on the broadcast. If not, you don’t want to miss it. At one point, you’ll hear Abdullah Awwad (Director of the Al-Basma Center for children with special needs in Bethlehem) speak about peace and coexistence.

Also, Ali briefly answered the question: ‘’Isn’t this project naive? Can BCP really make any sort of a difference?” You can find the audio of the show here.

Coming up: on Tuesday, January 22nd (i.e. today), an interview we had with K-Love (one of the nation’s largest Christian radio station networks) will air. The interview is scheduled to air several times throughout the day during K-Love’s news broadcasts. At some point, audio of the interview will be available as a podcast. We’ll let you know when it’s up. You can listen live at KLove.com or you can check K-Love’s station list to find a station in your area.

Finally, in the housekeeping department, we added an archive for all the blog entries. You can now read all our blog entries by month or category. In addition, we fixed a small problem with apostrophes appearing as strange characters in the blog emails under certain occasions. If you haven’t noticed it, no worries. If you have, it should be fixed, if not, drop us a line and we’ll take care of it (we hope).

Also, we added a ‘’get involved” section that includes easy ways you can help the project by getting involved in your area.

Team heading to Bethlehem on December 7th & Site Redesign

December 5, 2007, 1:44 am

We’re less than a week from leaving to Bethlehem. It’s amazing how this year has flown. But, before I get into all of this, let me start with a necessary note:

Some of you may be receiving this blog entry by email for the first time. If you don’t want to receive an email, rest assured, it’s very easy to unsubscribe. Also, rest easy in knowing that we will not share your email address with anyone. Our friends who have supported us all year are just that: our friends, not a commodity to be shared with anyone else for marketing purposes.

With that said, I’ve done some work to the site to make it easier to see the trailer and sign-up for updates from the project. We’re going to be blogging daily from Bethlehem, Nazareth and Jerusalem, so I wanted to make it easy to get the latest updates. If you look on the homepage you’ll see that I also added the latest blog entry there. I thought it would be a nice detail to make the site a little more user-friendly.

We’re heading to Bethlehem on Friday (like I said) and life has been hectic! Jenni is up right now (it’s almost 1am) wrapping gifts after being out all night doing some shopping with baby Jonah. As for me, I’m operating on the four-and-a-half hours of sleep I got last night (what I’m trying to say is please forgive all my grammar mistakes and make a best-guess effort as to what I really mean…).

Please pray for Jenni, Jonah and I this Friday. We have 13 hour flight to Tel Aviv; and, if last year was any indicator, I’m sure I’ll be spending some time with Israeli security on the way in (I was born in Lebanon, so I get a little more scrutiny than most). It’s an inconvenience more than anything else. I just want to be able to make it to Bethlehem Bible College and sleep as soon as possible.

Hope you all like the site redesign. I will be writing more soon.

Final cut of Trailer Released

October 31, 2007, 11:46 am

The trailer for the project is done and it’s up on YouTube! We’re very excited about it and are looking forward to getting the word out. We want others to catch the vision as we get closer to Christmas. Now is the time! Help us make it a reality.

Our favorite line of the trailer is the closing sentence. It sums up the entire project. You’ll just have to watch it to see what we mean.

Help us by telling us what you think and getting the word out there by forwarding the trailer on. Also, comment on this entry and tell us what you think of the final cut.

Added a gallery

May 22, 2007, 1:47 pm

We now have a gallery and a logo! A lot of work has been going into the site. We hope you enjoy the pictures. We look forward to adding more this year as we deliver gifts to children.

Next up is clean up work on some of the CSS, and we’ll be ready to launch. We’ve been submitted to google but aren’t indexed yet.

Patience is a virtue. We feel like time is always at our heels. We’re confident God will do what needs to be done for this project. Keep checking in on, us and see the plan unfold.

The site is starting to come together

May 10, 2007, 1:44 pm

After a quite a bit of work, our website is starting to come together.  We're still working out the kinks, but all-in-all, it's starting to look good.

As of today, we still don't have a logo.  But that's coming soon.  Hopefully in the next couple of days we should be in ship-shape.

The best is yet to come!
